The Cambridgeshire Under 19 Junior Restricted Badminton Tournament held at the Burwell Sports Centre attracted a record entry.  In the boys singles Stephen Pickering retained his title when he defeated fellow county senior second team player James Watkins 21 - 16.  Earlier Pickering had been put under pressure in his semi-final before defeating Jonni Henson 21 - 14. 

To keep the trophies in the family Stephen's sister Lauren won the Girls singles.  She defeated Rachael Farrington 21 - 14.  The previous weekend Rachael had won the under 15 title.

The boys doubles went to Stephen Pickering and James Watkins.  In the final they beat the surprise finalists Nishil Dabhi and Simon Parker 21 - 10.  Earlier Dabhi and Parker had unexpectedly beaten one of the favourites Jonni Henson and Geoff Green 21 - 20.

Rachael Farrington teamed up with Lauren Pickering in the Girls Doubles but were unable to prevent the trophy holders Katherine Green and Jaclyn Lai from retaining their title.  Katherine and Jaclyn got home with a score of 21 - 13.
