At the Cambridgeshire Under 15 Restricted Badminton Tournament held at the Burwell Sports Centre, Jason Lai retained his singles title when he defeated Raymond Li 21-11 in the final.  However Raymond in the doubles final had his revenge when in partnership with his younger brother Thomas they defeated Jason Lai and Toby Burgess-Clerke 21-15.

The outstanding feature of the tournament came in the girls singles and was a good indication for the future of the game.  This was played on a round-robin basis.  Rachael Farrington won all her matches but no fewer than five girls tied for second place.  Using count-back the runner-up spot went to Molly Carter with a winning margin of just one point over Beth Parrish.

There was consolation for Beth Parrish when in partnership with Rachael Farrington they took the doubles title.  The runners-up were the Sharman sisters Hannah and Jessica.
